Black Bear Hunting

Have you heard about the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) latest initiative to rob America’s sportsmen & women of their rights to hunt?

Their target this time is all traditional Black Bear hunting in the state of Maine including bait hunts, hound hunts, and trapping. This is a huge controversy boiling in the state this year, and sadly, the anti-hunters look like they may very well win the fight to ban the Continental USA’s best black bear hunting. The issue is scheduled to be put to vote on the 2004 Presidential ballot in November. If passed, the 2004 Bear hunting season (prior to the vote in November) will be the last Bear season ever in Maine. If you have been thinking about booking a Bear hunt in Maine, now is the time. Don’t miss out on what could possibly be your last chance at a hunt of a lifetime.

If you would like to join the fight to defeat this initiative, look into joining The Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine (SAM). Every dollar of new membership fees is being put towards the fight against the initiative, and separate donations can also be made if you have the means to do so. Check out the Alliance at http://www.samcef.org.
